  1. Congratulations to you!!! I just received AOR two days ago and I’m really happy to see that many people receive PPR quickly enough. That’s really great! Good luck with submission of your passports!

    • Thanks Miguel! And congratulations to you as well!

Where are you applying from? I hear that the speed of things such as PPR and Visa stamping are influenced by how much workload the local Canadian embassy has for the moment.

  2. Hi,
Congratulations on your progress! Pls I would like to put in my application for this current PEI, but I heard that they give preference to people with qualifications where there is skill shortage. How true is this and if there are, which fields might that be?

    • Hi Habbey!

Nobody really knows where they give preference to in terms of qualifications and/or skill shortages since being nominated by the province does not guarantee one a job once they land.

However, PEI’s main industries are tourism, seafood processing and technology… so that should give you a fair idea of what drives the island’s economy.

Hope this helps, good luck! 🙂

    • Hi Jinsoo!

We got ours back in less than a month actually. It was around 2-3 weeks if I remember correctly. Wasn’t really expecting it to be that quick.

I think it will really depend on the load that the embassy has when you submit your passports. Some will be processed faster than others. Safe to assume at least a month to a max of three months.

      Hope this helps!

  3. I submitted my application by June 6 2017, and got the AOR same day. This is not PNP just a regular Express entry. I have my filing done through a consultancy. May be because i am afraid that they might miss the notification, i am asking you how is the trend – what is the average time that people are waiting to receive the PPR. Also since this year the application is hgher number, do you think it will be delayed unusually. What do you think.

    • Hi Sij!

We waited approximately two months for our PPR after AOR.

December 2, 2016: Acknowledgement of Receipt (AOR). Medical passed at this point.
February 6, 2017: Passport Request (PPR)

Hopefully that timeline doesn’t increase with the higher number of applicants right now.

      Hope this helps!
